As a registered early childhood educator, I have been contributing to the growth and development of young children for over 30 years. I have a wide range of experience in many aspects in the field and cherish being a part of the SCNS family. I value the uniqueness of each child and am honoured to share in their early years experiences. As a mother of three children I have gained valuable insight and understanding of the joys and challenges of parenthood. I strongly believe that children are innately competent, curious and capable. I use basic sign language, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), visual schedules and many other techniques to enhance an inclusive learning environment which benefits children and their families. I am a passionate teacher and truly enjoy bringing out the potential of each child through a mutual love for play and friendship.

I have worked in the childcare field since graduating in 2000. I have been with SCNS since 2017 and have worked in both the 2 & 3 year old programs.  I am excited to dive into the Program Supervisor role in September 2025 while I continue teaching the 3 year old program in the morning and afternoon.  II took some time off in 2010 to raise my two beautiful children who are now in school full time and growing so fast!    I love to be a small part of your child’s first school journey to becoming the person they will be. To see the light in their eyes when they understand a new concept or idea that I am trying to teach them is truly what makes my day. I enjoy working with everyone at SCNS and together enriching all of the children’s lives.

I have been with SCNS since 2018 and I thoroughly enjoy being a part of the SCNS teaching team! I started my career in 2005 and I have been enjoying working in a variety of childcare settings since then. I have three children of my own that attend schools in the community and I enjoy volunteering my time with our local hockey association. I believe that it is important to build a strong connection with each child in my program and that it’s important to follow each child’s interests and abilities when planning and implementing our classroom activities. I am always fascinated to see how the children grow and develop throughout the year in our program!

I love working with children and I am so glad to be part of their learning journey.  I joined the team at SCNS in 2018 as a Program Assistant and I am thrilled to now be a teacher in the 2 year old program. I have a BA in Psychology from Carleton University and graduated from Algonquin College in 2005 as an Early Childhood Educator.  I taught in the field for 6 years before deciding to stay home with my 3 children.  I love learning and participating in training opportunities both as an RECE and my volunteer work with Girl Guides of Canada.  I hope to challenge your child to try new things and to work with you to help them reach their full potential

I am excited to join the SCNS team in September 2025. I have been in the Early Childhood field since 2009. I worked in the infant & Toddler area while living in British Columbia for over 8 years when we moved to Stittsville to raise our four children. Having my youngest child at SCNS has shown me how caring the school is. You can tell it’s a great place because all of the staff are HAPPY! I can’t wait to collaborate with the staff and be a part of the children’s first school experience.
